If you still need to get your CGM sensor prescribed, send a portal message with what sensor you’d like to use and where you want to pick it up.
Libre 2: costs about $65-$125 out of pocket with insurance; Big Trees MD members get them for $75 cash)
Libre 3: is typically found at Sonora Safeway and can have an out of pocket cost of $165 with insurance.
PRO-TIP: ORDER SKIN TAC WIPES -- these help ensure your sensor stays on during your two weeks of monitoring! We find that these are more likely to help the monitor stay than alcohol wipes.

STEP 2.
Connect your phone
Make sure that your phone has the latest
software update and is connected to a
network, either WiFi or cellular, and you've
created a Libre account. If you've
purchased your Libre2 from Big Trees MD,
you will need to download the LibreLink,
here.
Once you apply the sensor and scan it to
connect it to your phone, it will take 60 mins
from connecting the sensor to when it records the first blood sugar reading.

The more you scan the FreeStyle Libre 2 app, the more you know.
Scanning at least once every 8 hours saves your glucose history on the app. The app also has a Logbook feature to add notes when you scan. Use it to track food, activity, insulin, and any medication you take.
