Getting Care When You Don't Have Insurance

At Big Trees MD, we believe everyone deserves access to medical care and we've partnered with Calaveras County Public Health to help connect uninsured community members with the services they need.

Do you have an medical need that needs attention?

If you're uninsured and dealing with a health issue that needs prompt attention such as:

  • STD testing or treatment

  • Wound care

  • Substance use support or medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

...these are concerns that can have serious health consequences if left untreated. Please don't wait.

📞 Call or text us at 209.653.2135 We'll reach out to you and help figure out next steps together.

Looking for preventive care or screenings?

If your needs are less urgent, like a flu shot, COVID vaccine, or a routine health screening or vaccines, you may qualify for Medi-Cal, California's free or low-cost health coverage for uninsured residents.

Start here: Complete the Calaveras County Assistance Request Form

This form connects you with HHSA Eligibility staff who can help you enroll in Medi-Cal and find a primary care physician or non-physician provider so you'll have a person in your corner for the long haul, not just a one-time visit.

Not sure which path is right for you?

When in doubt, reach out. Call or text 209.653.2135 and we'll help point you in the right direction.
